Gresser Vineyard 2009 Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains, $24
By Great Northwest Wine on February 11, 2013
Paul and Lori Gates planted Gresser Vineyard in 1998, after Paul spent many years in the California wine industry. This is a delicious and affordable Pinot Noir from the Chehalem Mountains in the northern Willamette Valley. It opens with aromas of cedar, violets, spicy cherry, mint, pepper and even root beer candy. On the palate, it offers enjoyable flavors of strawberry, cherry and milk chocolate. Moderate oak, delicate tannins and bright acidity back up all the beautiful fruit flavors.
