Coyote Canyon Winery 2011 Andrews White, Horse Heaven Hills, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on February 18, 2013
This is a blend of Pinot Gris and Viognier from estate grapes and Chardonnay from nearby Mercer Ranch, with the Pinot Gris and Viognier co-fermented in stainless steel at this winery in Prosser, Wash. The resulting wine offers aromas of ambrosia salad, cilantro, pear and lemon-lime, along with flavors of grapefruit, lemon and kumquat. Pair this bright, dry white with pasta in a cheese sauce, oysters, scallops or grilled chicken.
