H/H Estates 2009 Coyote Canyon Vineyard Robert Andrews Reserve Mourvedre, Horse Heaven Hills, $38
By Great Northwest Wine on February 24, 2013
This Rhône-style red pays tribute to owner Mike Andrews’ father, and it includes a bit of Syrah, Grenache and Counoise. It opens with aromas of cedar, raspberry, Bing cherry and dark chocolate, followed by hedonistic flavors of pomegranate, black tea and a big blast of chocolate. Its assertive tannins will be tamed with lamb, venison or tri-tip.
