Best Buy! Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ newest label pays homage to the Columbia River that flows along the arid Wahluke Slope in Washington’s Columbia Valley. Prior to Priest Rapids Dam, the river went over seven falls in a brief stretch. All of those falls are now underwater behind the hydroelectric dam. This delicious Chardonnay tastes more expensive than it is, thanks to luscious aromas of butterscotch, baked apple and spice, followed by rich flavors of orange, dried pineapple and oak. It has surprisingly lively acidity, considering the amount of oak and lees aging.

I had a glass of the Seven Falls Chardonnay at The Wine Kitchen in Leesburg, VA and loved it. Wondered if there were any way I could order a case (or two) online or purchase a case somewhere in Virginia?? Wish I lived in Washington State!! Great wine – Sue Brown

I ordered a glass of recommend Seven Falls Chardonnay as the restaurant had just run out of Ste. Michelle Chard, and it was the WORST glass of wine I’ve ever had! I am assuming the vintage was either 2012 or 2013. As the few reviews I’ve read about the 2011 were great. I let the waiter know and after apologizing, he took the nasty wine off my tab. Hoping this was an isolated case.
