Willamette Valley Vineyards 2010 Signature Cuvee Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $50

By on May 11, 2013

Willamette Valley Vineyards signature cuvee pinot noirThis delicious Pinot Noir from one of Oregon’s largest producers uses three clones (667, 777 and Pommard) from three vineyards (Bernau Block, Tualatin and Elton), resulting in a great deal of complexity. This opens with aromas of red currant, pie cherry and fresh-cut alfalfa, followed by flavors that include oregano, cranberry, cherry and rhubarb. Bright acidity and moderate tannins do a nice job of lifting the fruit while giving the wine just the right amount of structure.
