It’s not a vineyard designate, but it could be, and this release of 100% Bacchus Vineyard fruit is Tom Stangeland’s only unblended wine. It also could be labeled as a reserve-style with his use of new and neutral French oak. The toast shows in the nose with Honey Nut Cheerios, backed by hints of chicken stock and earthiness. Oak stands a bit taller on the palate among flavors of lemon custard, vanilla, butterscotch and lime.
