Seven-of-Hearts-Pinot-Rose-Willamette-Valley-2012-BottleBest Buy! To see a pink made from Oregon Pinot Noir at this price is rare, but Byron Dooley made it possible by blending from his estate Luminous Hills Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton with fruit off Armstrong Vineyard on Ribbon Ridge and Lia’s Vineyard in Chehalem Mountains. He presents it with all the focus on fruit, starting with aromas of Rainier cherry, dried strawberry and pomegranate. The pour delivers flavors of fresh-picked plum, dusty strawberry, Bing cherry and apricot amid a vibrant structure that’s done bone dry.
