7. Barnard Griffin 2012 Rosé of Sangiovese, Columbia Valley, $12
Best Buy! Over the past decade, nobody has made a consistently greater rosé anywhere on the West Coast than Rob Griffin. This wine earned seven consecutive gold medals (or better) at the huge San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and this wine earned best rosé at the inaugural Great Northwest Wine Competition in Hood River, Ore. Strawberry, rhubarb and pie cherry notes lead to pie cherries and rhubarb on the palate in this bright, brilliant rosé.
