kyra-wines-cabernet-sauvignon-2012-labelThis Moses Lake, Wash., winery continues to thoughtfully expand its program, and here marks the debut of Kyra Baerlocher’s first commercial bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon. Roza Hills in the Rattlesnake Hills and two sites on the Wahluke Slope — including her estate Purple Sage Vineyard — played a role in the aromas of black cherry, black currant, boysenberry and blueberry jam. The drink is dominated by sweet purple fruit, backed by a medium structure and a dusting of minerality in the lengthy finish.
