horizons-edge-winery-after-glow-raspberry-riesling-labelLast year, David Padgett celebrates the 30th anniversary of this Yakima Valley winery near Zillah, Wash. He’s developed a wide following for his off-dry and dessert wines, and his colorful, suggestive and fascinating labels adds to the appeal for these delicious and sometimes eclectic offerings. Here, it’s a pinkish blend of Riesling and raspberry that hints at aromas of dried strawberry, apricot, facial powder and whipping cream. It drinks a touch sweet at 4% residual sugar with flavors of strawberry jam, raspberry and peach skin, backed by freshly made caramel and baking spices in the finish.
