Northwest Cellars 2013 Sonatina, Columbia Valley, $19

By on June 2, 2014

northwest-cellars-sonatina-2013-labelThe proprietary Rhône-style white blend of Roussanne (60%) and Viognier from Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills and Upland Vineyard on Snipes Mountain is done in a fun fashion with aromas of Juicy Fruit gum, bubble gum, orchard fruit and peach blossom. Its rich entry opens with a bit of bubble gum, backed by apricot and finished with green banana, making it as delightful as the American goldfinch portrait by Laura Olsen of Olsen Creative in Federal Way, Wash.
