Thurston Wolfe 2013 PGV, Washington, $16

By on June 25, 2014

Thurston Wolfe Winery 2013 PGVWade Wolfe, one of Prosser’s winemaking pioneers, continues to dial in his highly acclaimed blend of Pinot Gris (69%) from nearby Crawford Vineyard and Viognier (31%) from Zephyr Ridge in the Horse Heaven Hills. Aromas suggest hints of apple, pear, lime zest and minerality, but there’s more of a tropical feel to the flavors as pineapple and orange fill the mouth. Great acidity from beginning to finish makes this an ideal pairing with fish tacos, chicken, steamed mussels and clam linguini.
