Denison Cellars 2012 Johnson Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills, $38

Michelle-owned Willakia vineyard, contributes Pommard and 777 clones to this two-barrel lot of unfiltered Pinot Noir created in an Old World style. Its lower oak profile allows for aromas and flavors of boysenberry, cassis, cola, saddle leather and patchouli, backed by Montmorency cherry acidity and smooth tannins.
