Now, they are making headlines with Petite Sirah, a red Rhône variety with strong shoulders. Aromas of blackberry, strawberry, cherry candy, Earl Grey tea, white pepper and dried oregano lead to more flavors of blackberry and dark cherry. Its structure of racy acidity and bold tannin picks up notes of cola and vanilla before the balanced finish of strawberry candy. It’s just getting out of the starting blocks, and there’s plenty of yardage left to cover.
