Serra Vineyard-Syrah-2011-LabelThis winery near Grants Pass, Ore., operated by Scott and Krissa Fernandes is crafting complex, food-friendly wines, including this Syrah that opens with alluring aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cardamom, white pepper and leather. Inside comes a smooth and rich delivery of dark plum, Marionberry and pie cherry with pomegranate acidity, blueberry skin tannins and toasted walnut. First offered as a club release, the wines are available via Southern Oregon merchants and restaurants in Ashland, Grants Pass, Jacksonville, Klamath Falls and Medford.
