seven-of-hearts-special-reserve-pinot-noir-2012-bottleMcMinnville vintner Byron Dooley dedicates his high-end Luminous Hills brand to bottlings from his estate vineyard in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, while this label allows him to reach into regions such as Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton and Ribbon Ridge for this clonal blend of Pommard, 117, 777 and 828. Aromas of strawberry, cherry pie filling, dried oregano and moist earth lead to a fruity entry of red currant and dried cranberry. Racy acidity and mild tannins allow for an elegant finish.
