His latest Chardonnay from Milbrandt Vineyards (74%) and Tudor Hills Vineyards (26%) in the Yakima Valley, influence by 20% new French oak, led to a gold medal at the 2015 Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition. A hint of caramel, plus pineapple and apple combine in its nose, then in the mouth are augmented by lime, tart apple and a tiny bit of dainty Asian pear at its edges.
