By on December 18, 2015

arifield-estates-merlot-2012-bottleThe Miller family farms nearly 900 acres of vines across six distinctive vineyards, and this Merlot hails from the D-2 blocks within Miller Vineyard – just south of Van Belle Road near Prosser, Wash. Its aromatic theme is one of plum, plump blueberry, pipe tobacco, sage and chalkboard dust, followed by flavors of dark cherries and an echo of plum. Bittersweet chocolate tannins and pomegranate acidity make for a firm structure, which the Millers enjoy serving with hearty meats and pasta. Their wines are available in Woodinville as well as the Vintners Village in Prosser, along Merlot Drive.
