19. Barrister Winery 2012 Cabernet Franc, Columbia Valley, $31

Van cherries and ripe blackberries parade lush flavors and aromas across the palate, with subtle leafy notes showing off its 85% Cabernet Franc. Hints of the 15% Cabernet Sauvignon arrive in the finish, with deep yet soft blueberry skin tannins edged by subtle minerality.
