Oregon State University-trained Alex Fullerton leads his family’s young brand in terms of winemaking and vineyard management, and he selected fruit from five clones off several sites for this exciting new entry-level brand. It’s a fruit-forward Pinot Noir from start to finish as aromas lead with dusty cherry, red currant and dried strawberry, backed by a sense of rose petal, earthiness, saddle leather and cedar. There’s even more fruit expression on the palate as cherry pie and plum juice leads into pomegranate at the midpoint that finishes with dried strawberry and cranberry. Suggested pairings include roasted rosemary and thyme chicken or ragu bolognese.
