Quady North 2014 Pistoleta, Rogue Valley, $19

By on March 14, 2016

quady-north-pistoleta-2014-labelHerb Quady left his home state of California and took his game to Southern Oregon, where he’s become the Rhône Ranger of the Rogue. His skill with this blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier and Grenache Blanc has earned gold medals and a spot in the wine chiller of renowned Pinot Noir producers in the Dundee Hills. A touch of neutral oak with this blend of fruit from Crater View Vineyard as well as estate sites Mae’s and Eevee’s makes for aromas of baked pear, dried pineapple, minerality and white pepper. Ripe golden fruit flavors, a harmonious midpalate texture and bright acidity combine for a juicy, fun and delicious drink. Enjoy with Pad Thai, Coconut Curry, Tangerine Chicken, fish tacos and sushi.
