Andrew Wenzl pulled this in from the Jones family’s Fault Line Vineyards on Sept. 26 before the berries reached 22 Brix, and the 20 months in neutral French oak barrels allows from aromas of plum, pomegranate and pink peppercorn. It’s a muscular drink as blackberry and pomegranate flavors finish with plum skins and gravelly tannins. Enjoy with a slab of lasagna or lamb chops.
