Alexandria Nicole Cellars 2011 Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, $24
By Great Northwest Wine on March 13, 2013
Jarrod Boyle reaches beyond his estate Destiny Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills for this fruit-forward and crisp Chardonnay. His use of Viognier (8%) helps account for the greeting of fruit cocktail aromas, including canned pears and peach with Granny Smith apple and hint of sandpaper. On the palate, lengthy flavors revolve around kiwi, honeydew melon and pineapple. And it’s presented dry with lemon zest acidity and a scrape of slate in the finish.
Rating: Excellent
Production: 196 cases
Alcohol: 13.2%
