Abiqua Wind Vineyard 2011 Isaac’s Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $25

By on May 5, 2013

Abiqua Wind VineyardPete Buffington operates this 30-year-old vineyard near Silverton, Ore., and he made just a bit more than two barrels of this delicious, reserve-level Pinot Noir. It opens with aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, cranberry and violet, followed by elegant flavors of pomegranate and cherry. Bright acidity and mild tannins give this youthful approachability, though it should become even more interesting over the next five years.
