Joshua Maloney barrel-aged the fruit in 20% new French oak, and that imparts aromas of toast, butter, cantaloupe, baked apple and pineapple. The first sip brings in buttery notes with dried pineapple, leading to a rich midpalate and an expressive finish of cantaloupe and butterscotch. Suggested fare includes soft cheese, herb-crusted halibut and scallops as there’s plenty of acidity to play nicely.

Rating: Excellent

Production: 400 cases

Alcohol: 14.5%
