pondera-winery-malbec-labelOne of Woodinville’s top boutique producers with a focus on red Bordeaux varieties, Shane Howard continues his work with this scenic site in the Frenchman Hills above Royal City, Wash. The oak treatment in this is obvious from start to finish, opening with toasted coconut and vanilla aromas backed by plum and cherry skins. It’s broadly flavored with more plums, blueberry and Marionberry, showcasing chocolaty tannins with pinches of thyme and tarragon. Their wines are available at their Woodinville tasting room as well as on Amazon.com.
