By on December 28, 2014

williamson-vineyard-sangiovese-2010-bottleGreg Koenig crafts Sangiovese from this site in Idaho’s Sunnyslope Wine District for his own label and the Williamson family, showing consistent excellence with both. Aromas of dusty Van cherry, Craisins and brown sugar pave the way for a delicious and juicy entry of red currant, cranberry and strawberry jam among balanced tannins. The wine earned a silver medal at the 2014 Idaho Wine Competition, and this multi-generation farming family serves it with pastas with herb-influenced tomato sauces or cloves.
