By on January 27, 2015

oliver-cellars-pinot-noir-bottleDon and Jean Oliver farm tiny Orchard View Vineyards, a young 2-acre site in the Yamhill-Carlton American Viticultural Area near McMinnville, Ore., and they’ve hired the acclaimed Isabelle Dutarte of DePonte Cellars and 1789 to make their wines. She’s created a wine that conveys beautiful plum, Marionberry and pomegranate aromas, along with black licorice, forest floor, minerality and leather. The drink of Dijon 777 clones is rich and intense with bold plum and blackberry notes, backed by broadly shouldered tannins, bright acidity and cocoa powder.
