By on April 11, 2015

native-sun-cabernet-sauvignon-2010-LabelPurple Star’s upper-tier Native Sun brand focuses on Bordeaux varieties off Red Mountain, and this Cab comes from the Williams family’s Heart of the Hill Vineyard. The Johnsons’ 24-month program of 80% new French oak helps create a nose of blueberry, spiced plum sauce, Black Forest ham, Special K cereal, molasses and rose hips. Smooth and juicy flavors of plum, Marionberry and blueberry lead to a nice grip of classic Red Mountain tannin.
