Northwest Cellars 2014 Sonatina, Columbia Valley, $19

By on July 12, 2015

Northwest Cellars Sonatina labelKirkland vintner Bob Delf continues his collaboration with Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills and Upland Vineyard on Snipes Mountain for this Rhône-style blend of Roussanne (55%) and Viognier. Aromas of white peach, Asian pear, lime peel, quinine and baked apple lead to a rounded mouth feel of apple sauce, honeydew melon and pear. A bit of spritzy acidity in the finish allows for a joint farewell of peach pit and lemon oil. This wine also is available at Nectar’s tasting room in downtown Spokane.
