bateaux-cellars-rosé-of-sangiovese-2014-bottleAirfield Estates grower/winemaker Marcus Miller enjoys his small-lot work for this family-operated tasting room and winery on the west side of the Cascades, near the Mount Rainier-fed Cowlitz River. Their collaboration on this blush-style wine opens with a beautiful pink wardrobe and aromas of cotton candy, strawberry-watermelon, sweet orange and lime zest. Inside are clean flavors of cherry candy, strawberry taffy and Circus Peanut candy. There’s a smooch of sweetness in front of the orange juice acidity, making it a pleasant summer sipper.
