Bitner Vineyards 2011 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Snake River Valley, $25

By on September 27, 2015

Bitner LogoRon Bitner helped establish Idaho’s Sunnyslope Wine District in 1981 when he began planting his vineyard with Chardonnay. This cooler vintage marks the 30th anniversary of Bitner Vineyards, and it offers a food-friendly, Old World approach with the theme of elderberry, Marionberry and Western serviceberry, joined by notes of toast, oregano, bay leaf and eucalyptus. The structure provides medium tannins and bright acidity, making for a long finish.
