apex-cellars-sauvignon-blanc-2014-bottleLongtime winemaker Jon Zimmerman worked in Prosser before during his days with Hogue Cellars, and he’s back as part of the Precept umbrella. Here’s an easy and approachable introduction to Sauvignon Blanc that opens with expressive aromas of fresh orchard fruit akin to white peach and Asian pear, backed by sweet lime and spearmint. The clean and pleasant entry brings spearmint and lime flavors, while a touch of sweetness bevels the edges of the acidity, leading to a finish of lemonade and Golden Delicious apple.
